Who is Event Butler?

Event Butler is the Managing Agent appointed by the National Parks Board to manage Event Spaces at Fort Canning Park, HortPark and Singapore Botanic Gardens and Visitor Services at HortPark.

What are the additional services Event Butler provides?

We provide professional planning services for your events, which includes coordinating and providing logistic support. Please contact our Venue Management staff for more information.

Do you facilitate the bookings of other NParks venue?

No. Event Butler only manages bookings for Event Spaces at Fort Canning Park, HortPark and Singapore Botanic Gardens. For bookings of other Event Spaces managed by NParks, please book via NParks website at https://www2.nparks.gov.sg/vbs/

Is there a minimum booking time block?

Event Spaces at Fort Canning Park has a minimum booking of one (1) day. For HortPark and Singapore Botanic Gardens, both have a minimum booking of four (4) hours’ time block.

Does Event Butler provide additional services such as catering, decorations, logistics, and AV services etc?

We can provide a list of suppliers and vendors and offer different package options for your consideration. Alternatively, you may opt to bring in your preferred vendors / suppliers / contractors for your event. Please ensure these third party vendors / suppliers / contractors adhere to NParks Terms and Conditions for the Use of the Premises.

How do I book a venue?

Please note that all bookings must be made two (2) months prior to the event date. Please contact the following:

Do I need to include set-up and tear-down time in my booking?

Yes. Please include your set-up and tear-down time into your booking time frame. It is advisable that you check with your suppliers / vendors / contractors / planners or event organiser the time-frame they require for set-up and tear-down, so that sufficient time is allocated for them.

Are site visits necessary?

Site visits are strongly recommended. You may wish to make an appointment with our friendly Venue Management staff on site. They will be more than happy to bring you around and advise you on the booking procedure.

What is your cancellation policy?

A cancellation charge of 20% of the venue Usage Fee will be imposed for any cancellation made 30 days or more before the commencement of the Event. A cancellation charge equivalent to the full Usage Fee will be imposed for cancellations made less than 30 days prior to the commencement of the Event.

Safety

What are the dos and don’ts in the parks?

Please refer to NParks Terms and Conditions for the use of Premises to find out more about the specific dos and don’ts for each park. A copy can be obtained from the Venue Management staff.

Are there any licenses / permits / approval that I need to apply prior to my event booking in the park?

The Venue Hirer is required to obtain any licence, approval, permit or authorization from any relevant authority or organization for the Event at his cost (which may include permission from the Singapore Police Force (in particular, the Public Entertainment Licensing Unit), Singapore Civil Defence Force, National Environment Agency, Department of Public Cleanliness, Civil Aviation and Authority of Singapore and the Building and Construction Authority). All documents should be made available and submit to NParks, upon request.

Do I have to do my own risk assessment?

Yes. All Venue Hirer must conduct your own Risk Assessment and submit to NParks, upon request.
